Clean-Living for Bees
Beekeepers often rely on prefabricated wax brood frames in their bee hives. The bees use them to store honey and pollen and to develop their larvae. Since many beekeepers have problems with mite infestation in their hives and use the necessary agents to control the pests, residues of the active ingredients can be left in the brood frames. Recently, a producer in Germany’s Lower Saxony has started to rely on a process offered by Bayer Technology Services to treat these contaminated frames.
